This Coming spring for Madison High school The baseball team will start It’s regular season. This past year the team got a new head coach. The team only had three seniors so the team was pretty young. They didn’t have the best record but started to find their groove with the new coach and how things were ran. This year should be a good year with the upcoming seniors and juniors. The team will start open gyms in the winter to prepare for the upcoming season. The team this year is most likely to be junior loaded but still should have a very strong team. They will have the same coach returning so they can get busy on working and know how things are ran. The seasons schedule should be about the same as last year with the addition of the new high school thunder ridge that will give the bobcats another game. The high has started working on the new field. They do not know when it is going to be done hopefully by 2019. Baseball is hard For Madison Because of weather issues. The bobcats usually have to practice inside until Almost the first game This puts back the time that they have spent outside on an actual field. In the past Bonneville and Hillcrest have been Madison’s biggest competition in the past. Now that these schools have split We are anxious to see how they will turn out this year. Even though Bonneville and Hillcrest dropped to 4A they will still Play in the 5A division. Madison hopes for a good 2019 season and will start working for it as soon as possible.
